EARLY MUSIC CAREER
I continued with my pursuit of music as a tenor saxophonist with my high-school jazz band. I later expanded my skills as a guitarist and singer, performing at various coffee shops, open mics, and cultural functions throughout the years. I then formed a Vancouver-based cover band as lead singer of “Phazers On Stun,” performing at Bimini’s Public House, the Displace Neighbourhood Pub in Kitsilano, and several other venues. My skills as a music entertainer continued to be honed in performing various covers of classic rock, blues, 80’s, and pop tunes.
While simultaneously performing in my band and DJ’ing, I started my own mobile DJ company and live band service, entitled "Andy Soul Entertainment". After just a few years of running the business, there was an increased demand from wedding and corporate clients for DJ services. Based on this, I decided to retire from “Phazers on Stun” in Fall 2018 in order to concentrate on developing my business further with DJ’ing being at the forefront of the services provided.
